supporting the academy
Since 2023, Pauline Chandon-Moët and Château de Ferrand accompany the young artists of the Bordeaux National Opera Academy. This project is in line with Pauline Chandon-Moët’s ongoing desire to promote the development of young talent.
Every year, the estate welcomes these young artists for a special concert at the chateau.
This year, the Bordeaux National Opera Academy invites you to discover a musical programme inspired by the Americas, with a new concert on Sunday 15 June at 5pm.
the academy origins
In order to foster the professional integration of budding artists, in 2022 the Bordeaux National Opera initiated a first edition of the Academy project composed of twelve young artists (composer, musical director, lyrical and musical artists).
Not unlike a laboratory, this creative ensemble is accompanied by the Opéra’s permanent teams and mentors.
For the 2024/2025 season, they have worked together for several months to create in last February an free, modern and fantastical adaptation of The Barber of Seville, by Gioachino Rossini.
