A fantastic quality wine

Ferrand 2006 is garnet in appearance with hints of orange.
Its nose, which improves by being left to gently open up, tends towards soft spice and jammy fruit aromas such as quince.
It is soft in the attack and develops in well-balanced style.
The finish astonished us with its freshness and powerful framework of tannins.

A dry and cold winter was followed by a spring with temperatures in line with seasonal averages, then a slightly warmer June.
In July, temperatures were scorching with twenty days above 20°C. In August, temperatures fell and rain appeared. September was hot and dry with some rainy periods in the middle of the month.

2006 was a vintage that demanded constant attention at the vines as a result of weather variations (intense heat followed by rain), ultimately producing a harvest that was fairly small but of impeccable quality.
